Ghost Adventures

Oliver sat down on the floor in the middle of the room, the wooden boards beneath him cold and making his shiver. White candles were lit around him, forming a circle that encased both him and a Ouija board, this one intricate and made out of glass. Three tripods held cameras, one pointed towards the circle, one pointed towards the open door, and one that had a view of the entire room.

Oliver took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, lightly resting his fingertips on the planchet, glancing once up at the camera before staring down at the board. "My name is Oliver. Is there anyone here with me?" He asked, looking towards some of the other equipment scattered throughout the rooms; things to track movements, sounds, even electrical surges. If there was a ghost, Oliver was set.

Sean, letting his vessel rest for the night, sat across from Oliver in ghostly glory- though he was invisible both to the human and the cameras around them. For a moment he just thought, smirking playfully at Oliver, before setting his fingers onto the planchet and pushing it towards yes. Yeah, he could use a little !@#$ and giggles, what the hell. Ghost hunters were the best to mess with, especially when they brought Ouija boards. To really drive it home, the demon even spelled out a friendly 's-u-p-d-u-d-e'.

Oliver nearly jerked his hands off the planchette when it started moving, narrowing his eyes at the message and pausing. "'Sup dude?' Did you really just--" He glanced at the camera before back down at the board. Occasionally, he would be able to communicate with a ghost like this, but they'd never greeted him in such a way. Maybe a young ghost? The house he was in was really old, though.

"Um... Hey. What's your name?"

A million names ran through Sean's head, but eventually he decided on a sort-of truth. 's-h-a-u-n-o-f-t-h-e-d-e-a-d' was spelled out, slowly, the demon jiggling the planchette a few times just for emphasis. Maybe he would even let a little demonic activity give this house a better reputation.

Oliver snorted. "Shaun of the Dead. Alright, Shaun," he said, raising an eyebrow at the second message. "Not really. I mean, I got permission by the nice lady who owns the property. So technically, aren't you trespassing?" Anyone who made pop culture references and used 'ur' in a sentence like that hardly scared Oliver. Things weren't being thrown and there weren't horrifying black shadows darting about so he assumed he was pretty safe, and that the ghost he was communicating with had died fairly young, and fairly recently.

'i-m-a-d-e-m-o-n-i-d-o-w-h-a-t-i-w-a-n-t' If Sean could have sent an emoji, he would have, just to contrast to such a dark confession. A demon that used text speak and memes? Hard to believe, and yet most demons readily integrated into modern human society; hell wasn't exactly a five star resort. To give his words more force, the demon sent the lights flickering with just a flick of his fingers.

Oliver frowned as he deciphered the message, squinting at the words and sputtering. "Zak Bagans--rude! First of all, I'm a !@#$ original, okay? And second of all, I'm an actual investigator, with actual proof." Of course, every other supernatural investigator would say the same thing, but Oliver liked to believe that his evidence was more believable than anything on cable television. "Also, a demon?" He'd never talked to a demon before, but he thought this was more of a teenage ghost playing pranks on him than anything.

'y-a' was all that Sean answered with, scooting closer to Oliver so he could feel the chill of his spirit. He thought about maybe messing with this guy long-term, meeting up in person and getting buddy-buddy, but would it be worth it? Ghost investigators like this were a dime a dozen. Oliver tilted up his chin in defiance. "Of course I want proof. Ghost hunter, remember?" He said, pointing at himself. "My whole job is to try and get proof of the supernatural. So yeah, Sean-the-demon, I want proof."

With that, Sean lifted his hands up from the board, standing and dusting his pants off. This kid would be easy to find, and then the real fun could begin. For a finale, he made a sweeping bow, sending every sensor in the room wild and blowing out every candle that was lit. "You, me, coffee. It's a date!~"
